Arthritis in dogs
Arthritis in dogs is a chronic disease that usually occurs in middle-aged
dogs and older. In inflammatory arthritis occurs in joints and is usually
accompanied by pain, swelling, stiff in the joints. The causes of arthritis
are the most common old age (Aging) and because of the existence of a joint
structure that does not normally like Hips Dysplasia. In these conditions
Arthritis is also known by the name of degenerative Joint Disease. Other
causes of arthritis are due to trauma, infection, metabolic disorders, and
other causes.
The average age when arthritis is began to appear different from different
depending on the size of the dog. The bigger dog is the size of the faster
showed symptoms of arthritis. Small dog that weighs under 5 kg body usually
will not show symptoms of arthritis before the age of 9 years. Dogs weighing
between 5-15 kg body showed symptoms at age 8 years old, 15-30 kg body
weight at 7 years old, 30-40 kg at the age of 6 years, and dogs over 40 kg
at the age of 5 years.
